Dr. Tad Moseley, DVM

Education: Auburn University

Dr. Tad Moseley was born in Jacksonville, Florida and moved here with his family as a toddler. He attended Valdosta High School and Auburn University. He graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  His specific interests in practicing medicine and surgery include avian and exotic animals in addition to companion animals such as dogs and cats. The Moseley family includes Rebecca, his wife, and three sons: Thomas, Charlie, and William. The Moseley’s live in Valdosta with Buddy, a Catahoula Leopard dog, and Charlotte, a Labrador/Golden Retriever. They also have three cats named Salvatore, Dansby Swanson and Sista Nula. They are well-loved! Dr. Moseley also serves on the school board for Valdosta City Schools.  In his free time, he loves attending football games and swim meets for his youngest son, William.  Charlie is now in the Navy and Thomas is presently away attending college. Dr. Moseley also will occasionally preach if asked and he's available!

Dr. Katrina Hall-Essoe, DVM

Board-Certified Veterinary Dental Specialist™

Education: Tuskegee University

Dr. Katrina C. Hall-Essoe is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College® and a Board-Certified Veterinary Dental Specialist™. She graduated cum laude from Tuskegee University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After graduation, she completed a 13-month rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Hall-Essoe completed her residency in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery at Main Street Small Animal Hospital in San Diego, CA, under the mentorship of one of the founding fathers of the American Veterinary Dental College, Dr. Thomas Mulligan. During her residency she also worked as a general practitioner and as a veterinary emergency medicine clinician.

In 2002, Dr. Hall-Essoe opened a veterinary dentistry and oral surgery practice, Bay Area Veterinary Dental Services, Inc, in Walnut Creek, CA. Her practice was a part of a general and specialty practice group, Encina Veterinary Hospital/East Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency where she was able to gain additional exposure and experience in many areas of general and specialized veterinary care.

In 2023, Dr. Hall-Essoe worked part-time for the Oregon Coast Humane Society in Florence, OR, providing veterinary care to the pets awaiting adoption and providing monthly vaccine clinics.

Dr. Hall-Essoe moved back to Valdosta, GA, where she was born and raised. She is passionate about helping patients receive the best veterinary care possible. Of course, this includes providing the best dental and oral surgery care and educating pet families about veterinary dentistry and oral surgery.

Dr. Hall-Essoe has a special interest in oral surgery, in particular surgical management of oral tumors and congenital cleft palate repairs.

In addition to being a clinician, Dr. Hall-Essoe enjoys providing dental and oral surgery educational lectures and wet labs to local general practitioners. Dr. Hall-Essoe has instructed and co-instructed wet labs at the Veterinary Dental Forum. She was also on the credentials committee of the American Veterinary Dental College for seven years.

Dr. Hall-Essoe has one special needs cat, Jax. Jax was previously one of her patients who had been hit by a car and sustained a jaw fracture along with multiple tooth fractures. He was surrender to the hospital and was the hospital’s blood donor for a little over 1 ½ years prior to Dr. Hall-Essoe adopting him. FYI: Jax’s motto: “Everything Resolves Around Me”
