Dr. Kilmer
So long to Dr. Kilmer! She married Steve Olzsowy on January 2nd, and they
decided to move back to the big city of Atlanta. She has joined an all cat
practice in Roswell and started work there on April 1st. We will miss her
but wish she and Steve lots of luck in the future.
Christmas for the Staff
The staff of AHC met at the Richards' home for fun, food
and fellowship. After Dexter's favorite meal of lasagna, the staff
exchanged gifts before going to the mall. They had to sit on Santa's knee
to get their gift, which was an envelope of money to be spent on themselves
in one hours time. Dr. Richards and Connie roamed the mall taking candid
shots as they raced from store to store trying to spend all of their money.
Recognition was given to Dexter who had no money left and to Dr. Kilmer who
had one cent. We put all of the leftover money in the Salvation Army
bucket. After the excitement was over, we returned to the Richards' home to
show and tell about all their purchases. We were then joined by
spouses/dates to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over a bonfire. Much fun
was had by all!!
Dr. Doscher
Dr. Teresa Doscher leaves Animal Health Center. She has taken an extended leave
to spend time studying for her state boards. We will miss her sweet smile and
willingness to help take the load off Dr. Richards' shoulders.
Carmen Hart
Carmen Hart was involved in a partnering program through the Valdosta High School.
She spent 8 to 10 hours in our practice weekly for several months seeing what
veterinary medicine was all about. She had been in several human physicians offices
as well as spending time at the Doctor's Laboratory. She aspires to be a member
of the medical community in some capacity. She is getting a well rounded view
of what it's all about. Carmen was preceded in this program by Alisha Edwards
and Cody.
